Within Lisneal College there are 2 main Rugby teams. The Under 14 team play local friendly fixtures and also participate in the Under 14 High Schools’ Cup competition, the finals of which are held traditionally at Ballinahinch RFC. The under 14’s also participate against local schools in the Under 14 Mowbray Shield, a one day blitz competition held at City Of Derry RFC. The Under 16 Rugby team play in the Northern Bank Under 16 High Schools’ Trophy, a competition Lisneal excelled at in season 2007-08 when they reached the final at Ravenhill in March only to lose 15-7 to Dromore High School.

Throughout the season Lisneal Under 16’s play many matches including a one day blitz competition held at Ballinahinch RFC called the Pollock Cup, again a competition Lisneal finished runners-up in last season.
