Within the Technology and Design department at Lisneal College the pupils are given the opportunity to work with the latest technology, a variety of tools, machines, materials and learn how everyday things work, through fun practical projects.The Technology and Design department is situated in a state of the art building and is fully equipped with the most modern machinery such as CNC lathes, milling machines and CNC laser cutters. Pupils will learn how to use these machines safely and correctly to enhance their projects. Pupils are required to develop their ability to solve problems and make quality products.

Many pupils choose to continue their interest in Technology and Design at Key Stage 4. This can be facilitated through GCSE Technology and Design, GCSE Engineering or GCSE Construction. Engineering is now available at Advanced level giving an opportunity for further study at university level or employment at a more advanced level.
